A new species of Oithona (Copepoda, Cyclopoida) from the neritic waters of Australia

Received on August 1, 1985; accepted on June 1, 1986 A new species of Oithona predominating in the neritic waters of Australia is described. This species resembles three other species of the genus, but has several unique characters in the family Oithonidae. The morphological and geographical relationships of this species with allied species are discussed.
