First record of paralarvae of Scaeurgus unicirrhus (Cephalopoda: Octopodidae)

The present first description of an advanced stage of Scaeurgus unicirrhus paralarvae is based on two specimens from the Adriatic Sea. Their occurrence shows that S. unicirrhus completes its life cycle in this sea. An identification key for Mediterranean early juvenile octopodids is proposed.
