Does turbulence play a role in feeding and reproduction of Calanus finmarchicus?
Plymouth Marine Laboratory, Prospect Place, Plymouth PL1 3DH, UK
Data collected on cruises in the Norwegian Sea and the Nort East Atlantic have been re-analysed, introducing wind speed as a factor to explain gut fluorescence and egg production of Calanus finmarchicus. Wind speed showed a negative relation with gut fluorescence but not with egg production.
